Helping create a better future for Main Street Mason City was a natural progression. “I decided to invest in Main Street Mason City because it’s a great way to support local businesses, foster connections, and contribute to growth and development of the community,” Geving said. “Also, I was an active board member for 6 years, helping to promote a thriving business environment.”
Geving originally was inspired to join the financial services industry because of his passion for helping people achieve their goals and secure their future.
“I enjoy problem-solving, building relationships, and making a meaningful impact on clients’ financial success,” Geving said.
Supporting a community—one Geving describes as “the perfect place to live and work”—also is important to Edwards Jones employees. Team members volunteer on various community boards and organizations and stay engaged through local events, partnerships, and initiatives.
Geving was introduced to Edward Jones by his father, who spent 35 years as a financial advisor with the firm in Algona. He explained that the company’s philosophy of long-term investing in quality assets, tailored to meet clients’ goals and risk tolerance, resonates with those seeking clear, straightforward guidance on their journey toward achieving long-term financial objectives.
“Our branch office business model allows financial advisors to discuss personalized strategies with each individual client, with the goal of developing lasting relationships to help keep them on track toward their goals,” he said.
One way he connects with the community is through events like Friday Night Live, a personal favorite. “I love live music and supporting local talent, and my whole family enjoys it as well,” he said.
